Delfrari-Victoria Park
Delfrari-Victoria Park is the site of the Maidstone Museum and
campground with
modern hook-ups and a trout pond, four baseball diamonds and two
tennis courts. The
summer season provides many activities for visitors and
residents of all ages to enjoy.
Chief Poundmaker Historical Site
The Chief Poundmaker Historical Centre and Teepee Village is
located just 65 km
West of North Battleford. Poundmaker Indian Reserve has an
on-reserve population of
500 and is served by the Chief Poundmaker School, Veteran's Hall
and KanatinakStore.
Museum personnel will provide tours of the Northwest Mounted
Police battle site, the
Sarcee battle site and the Monument to Big Bear. The Cree people
have carefully plotted
their origins and offer a wealth of information, both oral and
documented, on the
historical events of 1840 and 1885 when the Canadian militia
attacked Poundmaker's
Band.

Frenchman Butte
The historic site of Frenchman Butte can be found 5km Northeast
of the town
bearing the same name. A picnic area and public washrooms are
provided. Although,
there is no buildings, museum or tour guide, there are the
original rifle pits that have been
carved out of the hillside. In the spring of 1885, this area
became a battlefield. It has since
remained undisturbed.

World’s Largest Tomahawk
Open year-round. A remarkable feat of architectural design, it
stands 12m high with
a suspended weight of 8000kg. It is a symbol of unity and
friendship among the people of
Cut Knife and area.
